Use the star commands

Star commands are activated during a conference by dialing a code using your telephone keypad.

Note: Some cell phones, international phone systems, Skype phones or other Voice Over IP (VoIP) phones might not generate the proper tones to activate star commands.

On your telephone keypad, press the star (*) key and then the command number.

Audio and help commands

These star commands are available to everyone, including the host; they assist you in contributing to and listening to a conference. Press:

  • *0 for support agent assistance
  • *1 to access the help menu
  • *4 to increase the volume of the conference
  • *5 to increase the volume of your voice/line
  • *6 to mute or un-mute your line
  • *7 to decrease the volume of conference
  • *8 to decrease the volume of your voice/line

Host commands

These star commands are available only to the host; they assist you in managing your conference. Press:

  • *21 to initiate a sub-conference
  • *22 to record the audio conference; if already recording, pauses the recording
  • *31 to turn the security code on/off
  • *32 to record a conference introduction
  • *38 to hang up without ending the conference (overrides the End Meeting when I Exit setting)
  • *39 to turn on/off tones when a guest joins or exits (if tone on entry/exit is enabled for your account)
  • *9 to hear a complete list of host features
  • *91 to hear the guest count
  • *92 to hear a roll call of guests (must enable when scheduling)
  • *93 to disconnect all guest lines
  • *94 to lock and unlock your conference (lock prevents other guests from entering your conference)
  • *96 to mute all guest lines
  • *97 to un-mute all guest lines
  • *99 to change your host security code
