Record your audio conference

Meeting hosts can record audio conferences and listen to them later, at their convenience. On-demand recording is available to all hosts. 

Recording notes

  • Recording is always available for all audio accounts. Start, stop, pause, erase, and resume a recording at any time during a conference.
  • Listen to recorded meetings through the replay system. After the conference is over, a replay confirmation message is sent to the host with an access number and passcode for the recording.
  • Recordings are generally available for replay within 2 hours, but may take up to 24 hours.
  • Within 24 hours after the recording date, your can access your recordings in the Admin Portal and download them.

Record the audio conference

On your phone

If you are on your desk or mobile phone, use the telephone keypad to record the conference.

To record your audio conference:

  1. Start the meeting and sign in as the host using your host passcode.
  2. Press *2 and then to start recording.

    You will hear a prompt similar to the following: Meeting recording has started. This meeting is now being recorded.

  3. While recording, you can pause the recording, or erase and restart recording from the beginning. Press *2 and then 2. Either press:
    • 1 to pause the recording.
    • 2 to erase the previously recorded audio and start a new recording.
  4. While paused, you can continue recording where you left off or erase and restart recording from the beginning. Press *2 and then 2.
  5. When the meeting is over, press *9 then 3 to disconnect all lines, and then hang up to end the meeting. This ensures the recording is finalized.

Audio Controls 

If you are hosting in the Audio Controls, click the Record button on the toolbar.

To record your audio conference:

  1. Use the Outlook add-in to start your audio conference in the Audio Controls. On the Home tab in Outlook, click Start My Meeting to open the Start Meeting pane, and then click Start.
  2. Click the Record button to start recording.

    The Record button changes from gray to red, to indicate that recording is on.

  3. To pause or stop recording, click the Record button again.

    The Record button changes back to gray, to indicate that recording is off. To resume recording where you left off, click the Record button again.

  4. When the meeting is over, click the End button  *9 then 3 to disconnect all lines, and then hang up to end the meeting. This ensures the recording is finalized.Click the Record button again to stop recording.
