Ensuring the Success of Your GlobalMeet Audio Meetings

Ensuring the best audio quality inside your GlobalMeet® Audio meetings is important to us.  We work hard to deliver the industry's best audio conference quality.  Follow these tips to experience a clear and crisp audio experience with every meeting:

  • To ensure a conference free of echo or static introduced by participant lines, as well as any participant background noise, use the MUTE function. 

    • Hosts can mute all participant lines or individual participant lines.  For details about how to mute using Audio Controls, check out this article.
    • Individual users can mute their own lines, and then UNMUTE to speak by pressing *6 on their telephone keypad, or by toggling the mute button next to their name on the participant list. 
  • Cell phones may deliver a less than optimal conferencing experience due to the variability in wireless coverage and signal strength as well as noisy surroundings.  If you are on the go and need to be on your cell phone, choose a quiet location and use a quality headset with great noise-cancelling.  Mute your line when you're not speaking to avoid introducing audio disturbance into the conference.

  • Use the Call My Computer method of audio connection with a USB headset.  For more information about achieving the best audio quality with the Call My Computer function, check out this article.

  • If you need to step away from the call for any reason, DO NOT put your line on hold. Doing so may feed on-hold music into the entire conference.  If someone in your call accidentally does this, simply mute their line using Audio Controls.

And always remember that a savvy technical support agent is standing by to assist when you press *0 on your telephone keypad.
