How do I schedule and start a GlobalMeet Web meeting?

Once you have your client ID and password and have installed the GlobalMeet tools, you can schedule and start a GlobalMeet Web meeting from the GlobalMeet toolbar or GlobalMeet for Desktop.

 

Scheduling from the GlobalMeet toolbar:

  1. Click on the Schedule Meeting button then select Meet Right Now, Web Meeting or Meet Later, Web Meeting from the menu.
    Note: Meet Right Now will open both your GlobalMeet room and an Outlook email that contains your meeting information. Meet Later will open an Outlook meeting invitation where you can customize meeting time and access information.
  2. Enter the email addresses of your guests. If you selected Meet Later, set the meeting time.
  3. Click Send.

 

Starting from the GlobalMeet toolbar:

  1. Click the Start My Meeting button and select Web Meeting from the menu.
  2. Your GlobalMeet Web room will open and you will be prompted to select an audio connection for the meeting.
  3. Select your desired audio connection, and then click Connect Me.

 

Scheduling from GlobalMeet for Desktop:

  1. In the left menu pane of the home screen, click Scheduler. Note: If you have installed the GlobalMeet toolbar, GlobalMeet for Desktop will open Outlook to allow you to schedule your meeting. If you have not installed the GlobalMeet toolbar, continue to step 2 below.
  2. Enter the guests' email addresses and a title for your meeting.
  3. Use the calendar to select the meeting date, and then enter the start time and duration.
  4. Click Create Invite.

Note: You’ll see a message confirming that your invite has been sent; click OK to close the message. You’ll also receive the meeting invitation which includes an iCalendar attachment. To add the meeting to your calendar, open the invitation and then click or tap the attachment.

 

Starting from GlobalMeet for Desktop:

 

  1. On the pop-up menu or home screen, click Start a Meeting.
  2. Your GlobalMeet Web room will open and you will be prompted to select an audio connection for the meeting.
  3. Select your desired audio connection, and then click Connect Me.
