Enhanced Authentication

Enhanced Authentication (EA) is an additional level of security that helps prevent fraudulent use of audio accounts in high-risk locations like Brazil, India, China, Malaysia, Pakistan, Taiwan, and the Philippines.

If you need local and/or ITFS access numbers in any of these countries, you must use Enhanced Authentication. EA enables:

  • Random, generated 10-digit passcodes for hosts and guests
  • Music on hold in the conference until the host joins
  • Post-conference reports sent by email to the host

In the Admin Portal and Outlook add-in, local and ITFS phone numbers are hidden and will not be included in invitations until EA is enabled for your account.

If a caller dials an access number in any of these countries and enters a passcode for an account that doesn't have EA enabled, the call is blocked.
