Admin Portal Release Notes

It is intended for resellers and provider administrators who manage audio and web conferencing products on behalf of their customers’ companies and their end users, and customer administrators (HA, HGA, and CCA) who provision and manage GlobalMeet and GlobalMeet Audio on behalf of their end users.

New features and enhancements

Sign-up form available from Admin Portal

  • A Sign Up button is now available on the login page. This button can open a sign-up form, display instructions for applying for a new account, or redirect to an external sign-up page that you host.

  • Configure this as part of site branding. On Edit Site Branding > Links > Sign-up Link Behavior, the Show sign up form option is now two options: show at Admin Portal and at My Meeting Hub.

Company updates. Provider Admins and higher.

  • In company search results, click the Company ID or Site ID link to open the Edit Site or Edit Company page in a separate window or tab. This allows you to keep the search results open.

  • Edit Company > Billing Information. Click the icon next to the Bill-To field to view a list of all clients associated with the Bill-To. A page count and total number of clients found is displayed below the results table.

  • Add/Edit Company > Customizable Tracking Fields. You can edit the field labels shown next to tracking fields and provide helper text.

    Tracking fields and helper are shown on the Edit Site, Edit Client, and Sign Up pages. The following example shows the sign-up form.

Client updates

Client Search updates:

  • A page count and total number of clients found is displayed below the results table.
  • In client search results, click the Company ID (Provider Admins or higher) or Site ID (all admins) link to open the Edit Site or Edit Company page in a separate window or tab. This allows you to keep the search results open.

Client Added/Updated. The success message now correctly indicates whether the welcome email was sent to the administrator.

  • On Edit Site > Administrative Options, set the Administrator receives email when new client is created option to ON to receive notifications.

  • If notifications are OFF, the confirmation message says, "Client created successfully."
  • You can also send the account details to yourself, the client, or another email address. On the success page, click Send confirmation email for all conferences.

Web meeting updates

Meeting room URLs can contain any of these special characters: . - ( ) _ ' ~ *

GlobalMeet Collaboration. VoIP audio (computer audio) can be blocked.

  • The VoIP audio feature is blocked at the provider level and cannot be changed by customer admins.
  • When VoIP audio is not supported, the "Use my computer" option is not shown to people joining meetings under affected sites.
  • On Edit Site > GlobalMeet 5.0 Options, you can see whether VoIP audio is disabled for meetings under that site.

  • In the meeting, the audio connection step offers phone-specific options: Call me and Dial-in.
