Set up GlobalMeet for Outlook

The GlobalMeet for Outlook add-in offers a fast way to start your web meeting or audio conference. Instead of downloading a “setup” program and installing it on your computer, you enable the add-in via a definition file (called a manifest) by following these instructions.

Copy the add-in URL to the clipboard, and then open Outlook and follow instructions for your version of Outlook.

Outlook for Windows

  1. Open Outlook and on the Home ribbon, click Get Add-ins.

    Note: If you manage another person's Outlook Calendar, are not permitted to install custom add-ins, or if your mailbox is hosted on Exchange Server 2010 or earlier, use the GlobalMeet for Outlook COM add-in (download here). Available for Microsoft Outlook for Windows 2010, 2013, 2016.

  2. On the ADD-INS window, click My add-ins, and then click + Add a custom add-in and select Add from URL.

  3. Paste the URL you copied, click OK, and then click Install.
  4. GlobalMeet is included under Custom add-ins. Close the add-ins window.

    The GlobalMeet add-in buttons are included at the right side of the Home ribbon.

  5. Click GlobalMeet Tools and then select Accounts to sign in to your GlobalMeet account.

Outlook for Mac

  1. Open Outlook and on the Home ribbon, click Get Add-ins.

  2. On the Add-Ins for Outlook window, click My add-ins, and then click + Add a custom add-in and select Add from URL.

  3. Paste the URL you copied, click OK, and then click Install.
  4. GlobalMeet is included under Custom add-ins. Close the add-ins window.

  5. Click GlobalMeet Tools and then select Accounts to sign in to your GlobalMeet account.

Outlook Web App

  1. Open a web browser and sign in to your Exchange mailbox.
  2. At the top right of the window, click the gear button to open Settings, and then click Manage add-ins.

  3. On the Add-Ins window, click My add-ins, and then click + Add a custom add-in and select Add from URL.

  4. Paste the URL you copied, click OK, and then click Install.
  5. GlobalMeet is included under Custom add-ins. Close the add-ins window.

    The GlobalMeet button is added to the top of messages and calendar events.

  6. Click the  button, select GlobalMeet Tools, and then select Accounts to sign in to your GlobalMeet account.
