Your business phone service includes emergency calling. You can call emergency services (police, fire, and medical) from your desk phone, conference phone, or softphone, using the emergency numbers for your physical location:
- In the US, dial 911
- In the UK, dial 999 or 112
GlobalMeet is a VoIP service and different from traditional wireline voice service. Emergency calling may be limited or unavailable if:
- The emergency address registered for the phone number is incorrect
- One phone number is shared by several devices (in different locations)
- There is an Internet or power outage
Note: For detailed information about emergency calling limitations and your responsibilities, see the disclosure notices for United States or UK.
To ensure that emergency calls are routed to the nearest first responders, you must register an emergency address for each phone number.
