An analog telephone adapter (ATA) is a device for connecting a traditional analog telephone, fax machine, or similar device to a digital telephone system or voice over IP (VoIP) telephony network. It functions as an adapter, converting analog tones (traditional dial tones) to VoIP signals, allowing your traditional fax machines and analog phones to communicate on your business phone service.
