Change your voicemail password

When you first set up your voicemail, you created a voicemail password (sometimes called a passcode or PIN). Your phone administrator can change your password for you, or you can update it by dialing in to voicemail.

On the desktop app

During a call, the desktop app displays the Current call panel. Click the Dialpad button to show the keypad so that you can respond to voicemail prompts.

To change your voicemail password:

  1. On the desktop app, click the Calls tab.
  2. Dial *98 and click the Call button.
  3. When the call connects, on the Current call panel, click the Dialpad button.
  4. If prompted for your voicemail password, enter your password, and then press #.
  5. Press 5 to access voicemail settings, and then press 3 to change your password.
  6. When prompted, enter a new password of at least 4 digits, and press #
  7. To confirm the password, enter it again and press #. Your password is updated.

On your phone

To change your voicemail password:

  1. Dial *98 on your company phone, or select Messages.

Messages might be a button, an option on the touch screen, or a soft key next to the LCD screen.

  2. If prompted for your mailbox number, enter your extension (normally, the last four digits of your phone number), and then press #.
  3. If prompted for your voicemail password, enter your password, and then press #.
  4. Press 5 to access voicemail settings, and then press 3 to change your password.
  5. When prompted, enter a new password of at least 4 digits, and press #
  6. To confirm the password, enter it again and press #. Your password is updated.
