Desktop app updates

Release 6.9

  • Japanese. Updated the translation for the Meetings tab.
  • Outlook integration. You can now connect and disconnect your Outlook Calendar using the new Integrations tab in Settings.
  • Bug fix. The date format was incorrect for Japanese.
  • Bug fix. macOS Mojave users were not prompted to grant permission for the meeting to access the microphone or camera.

Android updates

Release 6.8

  • We added a loading screen so you know you're waiting for the page to load.
  • Home tab. If a meeting on your agenda contains a URL, just tap anywhere on the URL to join it.
  • Notifications. If your app version is out of date, we let you know so that you can update.
  • Bug fix. The unsupported browser panel showed alongside the mobile app download panel when using a mobile browser.
  • Bug fix. The app is smarter about "non-meeting" HTML links it finds in the Location field on meeting invitations. If an agenda item contains:
    • A web address, the URL is blue. Tap the link to open the page in your default browser. This works for links with and without the http/s prefix.
    • An email address, the address is gray and you can't tap it.
  • Bug fix. When a host started presenting a file, a gray screen displayed instead of the presented file.

iOS updates

Release 6.8

  • Home tab:
    • If a meeting on your agenda contains a URL, just tap anywhere on the URL to join it.
    • Tap the new More (⋮) icon and dismiss a meeting notification.
  • In the meeting, we updated the participant list to give you a more consistent experience whether you're on mobile or your computer. 
    • The host is listed separately from guests.
    • Indicators show you who is participating via web and audio and who's only listening on audio.
    • Audio-only guests are listed after web participants, with a mobile icon in their avatar next to their phone numbers to show they are audio-only.

Meeting room updates

Release 5.40

  • Collaboration Basic. You now see a banner at the end of the meeting to help you upgrade your account.
  • Bug fix. If you attended a meeting in a browser, the download banner occasionally hides the meeting feedback buttons.
  • Bug fix. When opening the Help menu (?), one of the options was automatically highlighted.
  • Bug fix. Additional dial out requests (Call my phone) could be made even if you were already using dial out audio.

Meeting Settings updates

Release 5.0

  • Meeting Room tab. We removed the Lab Features section. Current and future experimental features will be available from the Meeting Options section.
  • UI. We removed the Settings title at the top of the page and updated the top navigation menu and Save Changes and Cancel buttons so they are now always visible.
  • Bug fix. On the Preferences tab, Spanish was listed as a language option.

Note: If you don't see the updates in Meeting Settings, clear the desktop app cache.

Meeting room updates

Release 5.39

  • Connect Audio. When adding a new dial-out number, the dropdown list for countries/country codes is now alphabetized for German, Dutch, and French to make it easier to locate a country in your preferred language.

    Note: US/Canada(+1) displays at the top of the list.

iOS updates

Release 6.7

  • Take control of your meeting while on the go with new meeting options:
    • Start and stop recording in the app. While recording, REC appears in the meeting controls.

      Note: You cannot name the recording when you start recording in the mobile app. If you'd like to name it, host your meeting from the desktop app or in a browser.

    • Lock your meeting room and prevent additional guests from from joining. Unlock the room and let guests re-enter.
    • To control background noise within the meeting, hosts and presenters can mute all guests and unmute them.
  • Bug fix. Some users experienced a blank screen when accessing their recorded meetings.

Desktop app updates

Release 6.7

  • Bug fix. In the Help menu (?), the option to chat with an agent was not disabled after losing network connection.
  • Bug fix. Clicking a meeting from the recent meetings list caused the scroll bar to automatically scroll to the bottom.
  • Bug fix. In the profile menu, the user's default avatar was incorrectly positioned if a profile image was not set.
  • Bug fix. The confirmation message after deleting a recording was incorrectly sized.

Outlook Add-in updates

Release 13.1 

  • Phone numbers (access numbers) associated with your account now refresh weekly to ensure the most current set of numbers is included in meeting invitations. The refresh happens automatically when you use the GlobalMeet add-in pane: either Start or Schedule a meeting or use one of the GlobalMeet Tools options. Previously, you had to open Settings and click Refresh List.
  • GlobalMeet Tools > Accounts:
    • The sign in page now includes information about the GlobalMeet add-in and its features.
    • A new option lets you sign out of your GlobalMeet account. In the Accounts list, click to select the account, and then click Sign out of selected account. Previously, this option was labeled Remove selected account.

      If you have multiple accounts and sign out of one, the top account in the updated list becomes active. 

    • Removed the Live Chat and Support Site options. Need help with the GlobalMeet add-in? Contact Support!
  • Start Webinar and Schedule Webinar buttons are no longer available; they applied to a previous version of our webinar service.
  • Japanese translation updates to meeting invitations.
  • Meeting invitations. Updated the support link at the bottom of meeting invitations. It now points to this support site.
