Android updates

Release 6.10

  • If someone shares a video before you arrive or skips to a different place in the video while you're watching, the video advances to the correct timestamp.
  • Bug fix. The time on the Join Now card that showed you how late you are was always in minutes instead of switching to hours and minutes.

Meeting room updates

Release 6.9

  • Video sharing is here! Meeting rooms now support a new file presentation file type: video. Everyone can see the file you present, including VRC and mobile users (they can't share). Just upload a supported video file (MP4, WebM, MKV, AVI, MOV, MPEG/MPG, and WMV with max size 200 MB) to your cloud-based file library and present it, or choose a video you previously uploaded.

Note: Video audio is played through your device's main audio output. This means that if you call into the meeting without joining using a web browser or the desktop app, you won't hear anything. Mobile users should also connect using VoIP to hear the video.

  • If you have Client/Matter tracking enabled on your audio account, you are now prompted to enter tracking numbers when you host a meeting in your meeting room.

Known issue:

You may encounter this issue with video sharing.

  • If you share a video while another file is uploading/processing, the File is uploading message covers the video player controls. This means you cannot start or stop the video you are trying to share. Workaround: Promote another guest to the Presenter role so they can control the video.

Desktop app updates

Release 6.10

  • Bug fix. Screen share resulted in an endless spinner and sometimes a blank white screen when attempting to open the meeting room.
  • Bug fix. You could not talk on a VoIP call since the call connected before you finished granting microphone permissions. This also occurred when sharing your webcam.

Android updates

Release 6.9

  • Video sharing is here! We've updated the app to support a new file presentation file type: video. If a web browser or desktop user shares a video within the meeting room, you can now follow along on your phone in portrait or landscape mode.

Note: Sorry, you can't upload or present files using your mobile app.

  • We personalized the Home and Meetings tabs. Now, you'll see your profile image for any meetings that you scheduled and the host's profile image for the meetings you can attend. If there's no profile image available, you'll see the person's initials. Otherwise, we show the user silhouette avatar.
  • Home tab now includes an exclamation point (!) on the Join Now card if you are late to a meeting or a checkmark (✓) on the Just Finished card if the meeting is over.

Meeting Settings updates

Release 5.0

  • Throughout Meeting Settings, the Save changes button is now grayed out unless you make a change.
  • Audio Settings tab:
    • Audio conferences without a title are now labeled No Title instead of being blank to remind you to name them.
    • When creating a new audio conference, it no longer lists unsupported types in Web Conference Type. Select GlobalMeet Web to link your new audio conference to a web meeting room or None to create an audio-only account.
  • Bug fix. After saving, the Audio Conference Title did not refresh to show the edited title.
