Android updates

Release 6.39

  • Help us improve the app by rating your meeting experience after the meeting ends. Right now, the feedback choices are simple: "great" or "could have been better." In an upcoming release, we'll give you a place to tell us how we can improve.
  • Bug fixes for co-host and presenter permissions when attending with the app:
    • If a co-host dismissed the host from their meeting and the host rejoined, the co-host couldn't mute or dismiss the meeting host anymore.
    • If the host left their meeting and rejoined it, presenters (promoted guests) couldn't mute or unmute the host.
  • Bug fix. Call Me (dial out). Added missing translations for error messages that display when you either tap CALL ME without selecting a phone number or don't enter a new number correctly. Previously they were always displayed in English.

Meeting updates

Release 6.48

  • For VoIP audio connections, we're working to make the meeting experience better when it is being impacted by your network connection. Low bandwidth mode turns off webcams and reduces the bandwidth used by the meeting.
    • Above the meeting stage, next to the Help button, click the Bandwidth button and set Low Bandwidth Mode to On.

Other guests' webcams are hidden and your own webcam is turned off if you're sharing.

    • To share your webcam while in low bandwidth mode, on the meeting controls, click the Webcam button and turn your webcam on. The Bandwidth button stays green (to show low bandwidth mode is on) and other guests' webcams remain hidden.

  • Bug fix. Added missing translations for the "meeting is locked/unlocked" messages. Previously they were always displayed in English.

iOS updates

Release 6.39

Bug fixes:

  • When you were viewing a shared file while your phone was on a flat surface, the file stopped displaying when you tilted your phone towards you.
  • Sometimes when you tapped the Webcam button, your webcam would not display and you could not see any content being shared in the meeting.
  • Now the Status Page and Reset Password pages open correctly in a browser. Previously, the app attempted to open them as meeting rooms.
  • If you joined your own meeting with VoIP audio and ended the meeting before your audio connected, and then joined someone else’s meeting and left that meeting, the app crashed.
  • When a guest without an account joined a locked meeting, the host's name did not display in the meeting locked message.

Meeting updates

Release 6.47

  • Safari browser support. Now you can host and attend meetings on versions 13 and 14 of the Safari browser.

Note: You cannot share your screen in Safari. File presentation, whiteboard, and viewing someone else's screen share are supported.

  • Bug fix. Whiteboard. When you used the horizontal handles to resize a text box, the box stretched vertically and distorted the text.
  • Bug fix. During file presentation, when you tried to scroll up or down the list of guests, the list flickered and jumped back to the previous point. You couldn't see all the participant names in the meeting panel.
  • Bug fix. Added missing translations for the "Your webcam is on/off" messages. Previously they were always displayed in English.
  • Known issue. In Safari, if you're viewing shared content (screen share, file presentation, or whiteboard) and enter full-screen mode, when you exit full-screen mode the meeting controls are partially hidden behind the Mac Dock. Either resize the browser window so it doesn't take up the whole screen or hide the Dock.

Android updates

Release 6.38

  • We've refreshed the in-meeting experience, simplifying the screens and making it easier to navigate. Highlights:Example updated Android meeting room
    • EXIT moved to the top of the window, on the right side.
    • The meeting name is now displayed at the top of the window, on the left side. It switches to show active talker when someone is speaking.
    • The tabs are now labeled: GUESTS | MEETING | CHAT. Previously they were icons.
    • An indicator on the CHAT tab lets you know when new messages are posted.
    • In the meeting controls, the Mic button changes colors to show whether you connected by VoIP audio (blue button) or by phone (green button).
    • Guests tab. The host and guests are now listed separately (the host is always listed first). In the Guests panel, co-hosts are listed at the top.
  • Bug fix. Presenters (promoted guests) had options to promote and dismiss other guests. Now they can only mute and unmute guests.
  • Bug fix. The Guests tab only displayed the first name initial of people who connected using VoIP audio.
  • Bug fix. When the host joined by dial-out (Call me) after other guests had arrived, music on hold was turned off (as expected), but the Mute button was disabled and guests couldn't mute their mics.

This issue still exists when the host joins by dialing in to the meeting.

iOS updates

Release 6.38

For VoIP audio connections, we're working to make the meeting experience better when it is being impacted by your network connection.

  • Low bandwidth mode lets you hide webcam streams so that you can preserve bandwidth. On the meeting controls, tap the More button and set Low Bandwidth Mode to On.

On the Meeting tab, other guests' webcams are hidden and a Low Bandwidth Mode message is displayed. If you're sharing your own webcam, it continues to stream to the meeting.

  • If the app detects a poor network detection and webcams are on (guests are sharing their webcams), it alerts you and offers the option to switch to low bandwidth mode. If nobody is sharing webcams, the app suggests that you change your audio connection.
